Why EC-P8R is notorious
EC-P8R is the classic "welcome to null-sec" gate camp. One jump from high-sec Torrinos in Lonetrek, it is the front door of the northern null pipe — and unlike low-sec chokepoints, campers here can use warp-disruption bubbles: a drag bubble off the Torrinos gate pulls every incoming ship out of warp in the same spot, no lock required.
Generations of new null-sec residents, haulers and wormhole day-trippers have died on this gate, and "camped at EC-" has been a standing report in northern intel channels for as long as the region has had owners. Local control changes hands with the sov wars, but the geography doesn't: if you are moving between empire and the north, this is where they'll be waiting. Scout it, filament past it, or fly something that doesn't care.
